PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biometric authentication system for protecting privacy.SOLUTION: The biometric authentication system receives a first linear encryption text representing a first biometric template encrypted by relational linear encryption 302, receives a second linear encryption text representing a second biometric template encrypted by the relational linear encryption 310; and finds out a linear relation between the first linear encryption text and the second linear encryption text by using a linear relational secret key 314. Furthermore, the biometric authentication system receives a first approximate encryption text representing the first biometric template encrypted by relational approximate encryption 304, receives a second approximate encryption text representing the second biometric template encrypted by a relational approximate encryption scheme 312, detects approximation between the first approximate encryption text and the second approximate encryption text concerning a humming distance by using an approximate relational secret key 316, and authenticates the specification of a user on the basis of the approximation and the linear relation 318. |
