PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a varnish coating applicator which prevents formation of spiral lumps of excess varnish on the lower surface side of a felt body, stabilizes the coating thickness and eliminates the need of coating thickness adjustment work and apparatus cleaning work.SOLUTION: A varnish coating applicator includes an immersion tank 1 which stores varnish Y and allows linear work W to run and pass upward in the vertical direction, a felt body 3 which is arranged at an upper position of the immersion tank 1, comes in contact with the linear work to remove excess varnish Y adhered to the linear work W and adjust the coating thickness and a restriction die 2 which scrapes off excess varnish Y passing the immersion tank 1 and adhered to the linear work W and feeds the linear work W to the felt body at the upper position. |
