PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the accuracy of testing print quality.SOLUTION: A testing apparatus includes an identifying unit, a master image generating unit, and a testing unit. The identifying unit identifies a type of printed matter on the basis of a scanned image generated through scanning of the printed matter. The master image generating unit converts print image data, which was used for printing of the printed matter, into the same format as the scanned image to generate a master image. The testing unit tests the print quality of the printed matter on the basis of difference data between the scanned image and the master image with reference to criteria corresponding to the identified type. |
