摘要 Disclosed is a ZnS sintered body for long wave infrared transmittance and a method of manufacturing the same which improves properties such as a relative density, transmittance, and a refractive index by acquiring ZnS powder with hydrothermal synthesis, which is a method of a liquid process, using ZnSO_4·7H_2O and Na_2S·9H_2O and sintering the ZnS powder with a spark plasma sintering (SPS) method. According to the present invention, the method of manufacturing the ZnS sintered body for long wave infrared transmittance comprises: (a) a step of mixing ZnSO_4·7H_2O and Na_2S·9H_2O with a solvent to perform hydrothermal synthesis at 120-260°C (b) a step of filtering and drying a reactant on which the hydrothermal synthesis is performed to acquire ZnS powder; and (c) a step of sintering the acquired ZnS powder with the SPS method at 900-1000°C to form ZnS sintered body.
