PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet conveying device that can suppress a sheet from being bent during conveyance, stably convey a sheet coping with an arbitrary thickness of the sheet and prevent an unprintable region from being generated on an upper surface of the sheet.SOLUTION: A sheet conveying device 1 conveys a sheet P while being sucked onto a belt 5 by a suction-conveying portion 2. On both sides in a width direction B of the sheet are provided rollers 7 that are biased to contact a side face of the sheet and roll. Upper end sides of rotary shafts S of the rollers 7 are inclined toward both directions at a downstream side in a conveyance direction A and inside in a width direction B, from a state in which the sides are vertical to the conveyance surface. The sheet is pressed against the conveyance surface accompanying the conveyance thereof, and if an upward warping is generated on a side edge of the sheet, the warping is corrected by reaction received from the conveyance surface. The device does not require a guide member that pinches a part of the side face of the sheet and guides the sheet, which allows printing to be performed on arbitrary positions on the surface. |
