PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bicycle pedal capable of reducing a force required when performing detachment operation so as to satisfy a conflicting requirement; that is, while a strong spring force is essential when shoes are mounted thereon, a weak spring force is preferable when performing the detachment operation because the strong force hinders the detachment operation.SOLUTION: There is provided a so-called step-in/turnout type pedal including a fixed locking claw 3 in front of, and movable locking claws 4a and 4b in rear of, a pedal body. The movable locking claws are mounted side by side in a pedal axial direction as a plurality of independent movable locking claws, and each movable locking claw is energized upward by an individual energizing member. In the detachment operation of the shoes, the spring force of the movable locking claws to be rotated downward is reduced to a half or less, the movable locking claws are rotated with a small force, locking of a cleat is released, and the shoes can be detached. |
