PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clamp device capable of boosting all of force applied to a piston member by fluid pressure, and transferring the force to an output rod.SOLUTION: A clamp device 1 driven by fluid pressure includes: a slidable piston member 7 having a main piston member 7A and a sub piston member 7B, for partitioning a cylinder hole 6 into upper and lower parts; first and second fluid pressure actuation chambers 8, 9 respectively formed under and above the piston member in the cylinder hole; a fluid pressure path 24 for making an output rod 4 receive back pressure so that the output rod is advanced by the back pressure of the second fluid pressure actuation chamber, when the piston member is stroked upward at light load by fluid pressure of the first fluid pressure actuation chamber; a booster mechanism 10 for boosting force applied to the piston member by the fluid pressure of the first fluid pressure actuation chamber, and transferring the force to the output rod, when the piston member is stroked at heavy load at the end of upward movement; and a connection mechanism 11 for connecting the output rod to the piston member after predetermined descending strokes of the piston member, when the piston member makes unclamping downward movement. |
