PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which prevents the generation of creases on a recording medium to be sent into a fixation nip part, and which alleviates the trouble that the recording medium sent into the nip part is strongly rubbed with a fixation guide member or a transfer guide member.SOLUTION: According to a control by second adjustable means 59, the position of an end on the downstream side of a fixation guide member 42 shifts from a first area to a second area immediately after a tip of a recording medium P is sent into a fixation nip part N, the first area being on a fixation member 21 side and the second area being on a pressure member 22 side, which are obtained by division with a virtual plane H connecting an end on the downstream side of a transfer guide member 41 when the tip of the recording medium P is not sent into the fixation nip part N with the fixation nip part N. In addition, according to a control by first adjustable means 58, the position of the end on the downstream side in the conveyance direction of the transfer guide member 41 is shifted from on the virtual plane L to the second area immediately after the tip of the recording medium P is sent into the fixation nip part N. |
