PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical element that suppresses collapse of patterns due to contraction when a material is hardened while facilitating increase in size, and is excellent in accuracy.SOLUTION: An optical element 200 comprises: a structured body 20 in which a concavity groove 21 whose width is shorter than a wavelength of a light flux supposed to transmit and a convexity groove 22 whose width is shorter than the wavelength are periodically arranged; and an isolation preventive part 30 that is arranged adjacent to the concavity groove 21 and the convexity groove 22. The isolation preventive part 30 has an isolation preventive concavity part 31 that is a concavity with a height corresponding to the concavity groove 21, and a columnar isolation preventive convexity part 22 with a height corresponding to the convexity groove 22, in which the concavity groove 21 and the convexity groove 22 are arranged to abut on the isolation preventive concavity part 31 and the isolation preventive convexity part 32.
