PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing machine capable of favorably suppressing vibration of an outer tub, and capable of suppressing damage on the outer tub without reducing the degree of design freedom of the outer tub.SOLUTION: A washing machine which includes elastic support means 5 for elastically supporting an outer tub 3 with respect to a body 2 includes: compression coil springs 54 which are disposed at a plurality of places around a rotary shaft Ra of a washing and dewatering tub 4 between the outer tub 3 and the body 2, in which one end is connected to an outer surface 32a of the outer tub 3 in a state where pressurization is applied by compression, and in which the other end is opposed to an inner surface 21a of the body 2 via a gap; and restriction ropes 62 which allow displacement of the other end in a compression direction and regulate displacement in an extension direction with a state where pressurization is being applied being a reference. |
