PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine and a vehicle capable of improving the startability of a decompression mechanism.SOLUTION: When viewed from an axial direction of a cam shaft, a straight line passing through a rotation center of the cam shaft and a rotation center of a weight is made to be a vertical axis. A straight line orthogonal to the vertical axis and passing through the rotation center of the cam shaft is made to be a lateral axis. Of directions parallel with the vertical axis, a direction extending from the rotation center of the cam shaft toward the rotation center of the weight is made to be a first vertical direction. One of directions parallel with the lateral shaft is made to be a first lateral direction. The gravity center of the weight is disposed in a first area, when viewed from the axial direction of the cam shaft. The first area is positioned in the first vertical direction to the lateral axis, and the first lateral direction to the vertical axis. The weight includes a first part disposed in the first area, when viewed from the axial direction of the cam shaft. In a close state, the first part includes a first projecting portion projecting outward from an outer peripheral surface of a bearing, when viewed from the axial direction of the cam shaft. |
