PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an umbrella with an umbrella cover, which prevents rainwater from dripping from an umbrella cloth as well as from an umbrella cover when the umbrella is closed after use.SOLUTION: In an opening/closing type umbrella equipped with a shaft 11, ribs 14, 16, and an umbrella cloth 15, there are provided an umbrella cover 21 which is formed of a bellows-like expanding and contracting tube and a storage case 22 which is formed of a hollow member having a hollow part opening downward. The upper end of the storage case 22 is fixed near the upper end of the shaft 11, while the upper end of the umbrella cover 21 is made a fixed end which is fixed near the upper end of the shaft 11, with the lower end of the umbrella cover 21 made a free end. When this umbrella is closed, with the lower end of the umbrella cover 21 pulled down, nearly the entirety of the outer surface of the umbrella cloth 15 is covered with the umbrella cover 21. When the lower end of the umbrella cover 21 is pulled up from this state, nearly the entirety of the umbrella cover 21 is housed in the storage case 22 and turned to a covered state. |
