PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a handling device of a piston corer and a stand.SOLUTION: A handling device 18 is mounted so as to retreat and recover a piston corer 13 for gathering a sample from a sea bottom, thereby, acquire the sample from a surface layer of the sea bottom and take out the sample from the piston corer. The handling device is a stand-alone type device which is attached to a ship 22 and is arranged in order to recover the sample from the piston corer. Therein, the piston corer is hung down from a float type ship in the vertical direction as it is. The handling device has a container having such dimensions and/or a lifting position and/or a connection part as to be provided for a standard marine cargo container. The handling device has a lifting device 31 which is developed on an external part of the container of the handling device and can be folded within the container. |
