PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus capable of accurately acquiring patch information of patches from a chart captured image including a distorted chart image.SOLUTION: The image processing apparatus is provided which extracts the patch information from the chart captured image acquired by capturing a chart image. The image processing apparatus includes: means for extracting information indicating a position of a chart from the chart captured image; means for calculating information indicating patch positions of the patches in the chart image by using the chart image; means for setting a patch extraction range to the positions of the patches; means for determining whether the set patch extraction range is settled within the patches; and means for extracting the patch information of the patches in the case where the means determines that the patch extraction range is settled within the patches.
