PURPOSE: To provide a manufacturing method for a liquid crystal display device whose visual angle is widened without generating reflection unevenness. CONSTITUTION: Positive photosensitive resin 21 is applied on a glass substrate 5. The surface of the positive photosensitive resin 21 is exposed while a mask 22 is disposed on the surface thereof and developed. The positive photosensitive resin 21 is made to be hardly melted by exposing the entire surface of the developed positive photosensitive resin 21 again. An insulating layer 6 is formed by heating, so-called post-baking, and melting the positive photosensitive resin 21 whose entire surface is exposed to form a desired rugged shape and make the rugged shape uniform over the entire surface. The melting of the positive photosensitive resin 21 can be suppressed and the rugged quantity can be controlled when the post exposure is performed. The angle range of the visual angle can be widened without heightening the reflection unevenness generating ratio.
