摘要 The present invention relates to an electric/electronic sub assembly (ESA) image evaluation automation apparatus and method for verifying whether an image corresponding to a test scenario is outputted to an LCD by comparing video data obtained by capturing an RGB output signal of the LCD from a test of the ESA having the LCD as an output device such as a vehicle cluster, infotainment, or navigation system, with a design image to be outputted. The apparatus of the present invention comprises: a signal conversion means for receiving a GRB video signal or an LVDS video signal from an LCD of a low resolution ESA or an LCD of a high resolution ESA, and converting the LVDS signal to an RGB analog signal to output the same; a high speed analog-digital conversion means for converting the RGB analog video signal to digital data; a video collection driver for extracting RGB bitmap data from the video data which is converted to the digital data through signal analysis based on LCD specifications; and a video evaluation process unit for comparing the obtained RGB bitmap data with design standard design bitmap data to automatically evaluate the video. According to the present invention, a detailed image comparison result of a pixel unit which is difficult to be determined with the naked eyes can be confirmed, overhead of a complicated calibration operation which occurs when a camera is used can be prevented since video signal data is used, and much video data is automatically evaluated, thereby improving efficiency of a video output product test operation.
