The present invention relates to a water purification system which purifies the sewage discharged from a contamination source by using environment purifying plants and discharges purified water to rivers. The water purification system using the environment purifying plants includes the environment purifying plants planted in the ground adjacent to a river or a marsh and multiple perforated drainpipes which draw in the sewage, are connected to the marsh or the river, and are embedded below the ground surface at a depth corresponding to the roots of the environment purifying plants in order to surround at least one of the environment purifying plants. The sewage entering from a sewage pond and flowing through the perforated drainpipes is delivered to the roots of the environment purifying plants through the perforated drainpipes. The filtered water discharged after a purifying operation of the environment purifying plants is drawn into the perforated drainpipes and flows in the perforated drainpipes while being mixed with the sewage flowing therein.
