The present invention relates to a composition having an anti-enterovirus and, more specifically, to a composition containing Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi extract or a compound separated therefrom as an active component. The composition of the present invention has been confirmed to exhibit strong anti-enterovirus activity of samples, through in-vitro tests and in-vivo animal tests in a broad range including: (1) a test of cytotoxicity, antiviral activity of EV71, CVB3, and CVA16, and cytopathic effect inhibition in vero cells; (2) a Western blot analysis of VP protein of enterovirus 71 to examine antiviral activity against the EV71; (3) an antiviral activity mechanism analysis test by Replicon analysis using a replicon system (pRibFluc-EV71); and (4) an in-vivo animal test to examine antiviral activity against a CVB3 virus using a BALB/c mice, thereby allowing the use of the composition as a pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating disease caused by enterovirus, or a health functional food.
