The present invention relates to an escalator having the structure of having a wheelchair mounted thereon. The purpose of the present invention is to enable a wheelchair or an electric cart to be mounted regardless of kind by raising two steps at a rear end side with respect to a reference step to be on the same plane with the reference step and forming a wheelchair mounting interval, which is composed of three steps and a half by lowering a step at a fore-end side with respect to the reference step so that the rear end can be inclined at a certain angle. For the purpose, the present invention comprises: a one-stage escalating link installed on the lower part of a second step at a rear end with respect to a first step among a group of steps to support the second step via one-stage escalation during the escalation of the second step; a two-stage escalating link installed on the lower part of a third step at the rear end of the second step to support the third step via two-stage escalation during the escalation of the third step; a half step rotating means installed on a fore-end step at the fore-end of the first step so that a rear end can be escalated at a certain inclination angle; a step connecting means for forming a mounting interval on a plane during the transfer of the escalator by connecting the first step, the second step and the third step; an operating means installed and fixed to the lower sides of the first step and the second step and linearly moving the step connecting means forward and backward via rotating operation; a mode converting means for enabling the operation of the operating means during the transfer of the escalator by converting a disabled person mounting mode into a general mode when a wheelchair or an electric cart is required to be mounted during the operation of the escalator in the general mode; and a stopper means for preventing the fall of the wheelchair or the electric cart from the mounting interval during the transfer of the escalator by fixing rear wheels when the wheelchair or the electric cart is mounted on the mounting interval.
