Provided are primary and alternate routing equipment and backup, switching method and routing system therebetween, the backup method between the primary and alternate routing equipment comprising: prior to switching the primary and alternate routing equipment, the primary routing equipment sends the learned address resolution protocol entries of the user to the alternate routing equipment according to preset rules; the alternate routing equipment receives and learns the address resolution protocol entries. Prior to switching the primary and alternate routing equipment, the method provided by the present invention enables the primary routing equipment to send the learned address resolution protocol entries of the user to the alternate routing equipment to enable the alternate routing equipment to learn the address resolution protocol entries in advance. When the primary and alternate routing equipment switch, the alternate routing equipment, having learned the address resolution protocol entries of the user, can directly forward the downlink traffic of the user according to the address resolution protocol entries, thus accelerating the switching speed between the primary and alternate routing equipment. |
