PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical scanner configured to prevent dust from entering a housing during cleaning or replacing a transparent member.SOLUTION: An optical scanner includes: deflection means which deflects a light beam emitted from a light source; a housing which houses the deflection means and includes an opening for allowing the light beam deflected by the deflection means to pass through to the outside; a first light transmission member which is arranged in the opening to prevent dust from entering the housing and allows the light beam to pass through; a second light transmission member which allows the light beam passing through the first light transmission member to pass through, protects the first light transmission member from dust, and is detachable from the housing with an optical scanner mounted on an image forming apparatus; a guide member which supports the second light transmission member and regulates moving direction of the second light transmission member when the second light transmission member is attached to/detached from the housing; and an elastic dust-proof member which is arranged between the second light transmission member and the housing. A dust-proof space is formed by the first and second light transmission members and the dust-proof member, with the second light transmission member attached to the housing. |
