A multicarrier scheduling method and system. The method comprises: for each cell in a multicarrier system, determining whether resources of the cell meet traffic requirements of user equipments (UEs) in the cell; if yes, computing scheduling priorities according to a conventional proportional fairness (PF) scheduling algorithm, and scheduling all the UEs in the cell; if not, selecting some UEs supporting multicarrier scheduling in the cell to start the multicarrier scheduling; computing, according to an improved PF scheduling algorithm, scheduling priorities of the UEs that start the multicarrier scheduling in the cell; and scheduling, according to the scheduling priorities, the UEs supporting the multicarrier scheduling. |
