The purpose of the present invention is to obtain a drive-device-integrated permanent magnet motor having not only a smaller size and a higher output but also lower vibration and lower noise. A permanent magnet motor has: a stator having a stator iron core in which teeth each project inward in the radial direction from a ring-shaped core back and are arranged in the circumferential direction, armature windings mounted on the stator iron core, and a frame for holding the stator iron core in an internally fitted state; and a rotor having a rotor iron core and permanent magnets. The armature windings are respectively constituted by a plurality of coils concentrically wound around the teeth. The inner circumferential ends of the teeth adjacent to each other are connected to each other by a connection portion. When the thickness of the core back is denoted by t2, the thickness of the frame by t3, and the outer radius of the frame by r4, a relationship of 0.122 ≤ (t2+t3)/r4 ≤ 0.202 is satisfied.
