摘要 A microscopic imaging method is described for samples (14) which adhere to the bottom (3) of the wells (1) of a microtiter plate (11) having a plurality of wells (1) filled with fluid (4), in which method the wells (1) are successively illuminated, from a top side opposite the bottom (3), with an illumination beam (2) from a transmitted light source (16) along an optical axis (OA), and the bottom (3) of the wells (1) thus illuminated from the top are individually magnified and imaged from the underside (15), and in order to improve the marginal illumination of the bottom (3) of each illuminated well (1), a homogenizing element (7) is arranged between the wells (1) and the transmitted light source (16), is illuminated by the transmitted light source (16), is transparent to the illumination beam (2), and comprises a portion (7a) which is introduced into the well (1), is submerged in the fluid (4) therein and has a front face (8) which lies in the fluid (4).
