PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately detect fluorescent light and phosphorescence of paper sheets.SOLUTION: A fluorescent light and phosphorescence detection device for detecting fluorescent light and phosphorescence of paper sheets transported in a transport path comprises: a light source for radiating ultraviolet light to the paper sheets; and two sensor units formed of an image sensor capable of imaging images of fluorescent light emission and phosphorescence emission excited on the paper sheets by the ultraviolet light, and a light reception lens for guiding the fluorescent light emission and phosphorescence emission excited on the paper sheets to the image sensor. The two sensor units are disposed so as to face vertically sandwiching the transport path, and positions of the light reception lens and image sensor in the vertical sensor units are disposed to be shifted to the transport direction of the paper sheets. |
