A password generation method, device, and system. The method comprises: in response to a password generation request, generating a multimedia-based password; and, sending the multimedia-based password in the form of a rich media message. The present invention uses 4G rich media technology to send out an authentication password in multimedia form. Compared to text-based passwords, multimedia-based passwords are more varied in terms of format and are more secure, making for a better user experience. This solves problem in the prior art of short message service text-based OTPs being easily obtained via virus software, which can lead to surreptitious logins and thus grave consequences and a poorer user experience. |
