A 1-benzyl-2,5,6,8-tetrahydro-3-oxo-2,7-naphthyridine-4-carbonitrile compound of the formula (I) wherein R1 is -COCH2R2, COO-C1-6-alkyl, CH2CONR3R4, pyridinyl, pyrimidinyl or C1-6-alkyl which is optionally substituted with C1-6-alkoxy, wherein R2 is morpholinyl or piperazinyl optionally substituted with C1-6-alkyl, R3 and R4 are independently selected from C1-6-alkyl, and benzyl or R3 and R4 together with nitrogen to which they are attached form a morpholinyl or piperazinyl optionally substituted with C1-6-alkyl, and pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salts thereof.
