PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the leakage of an elastic wave.SOLUTION: An elastic wave device includes: an IDT 10 provided on a piezoelectric substrate 50 and exciting an elastic wave; and gratings 15a, 15b provided on both sides of the IDT in an opening direction. In the elastic wave device, an opposite speed face of the elastic wave in the main propagation direction in a region where electrode fingers intersect with each other in the IDT is formed in a recessed shape, a duty ratio of the electrode fingers in the gratings is larger than that of the electrode fingers in the IDT, and a resonance frequency of the gratings almost coincides with that of the IDT. |
