PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas hardening apparatus which enables acquisition of uniform work reduced in strain.SOLUTION: A gas hardening apparatus includes: a planar tray 2 in a horizontal posture which is arranged in a gas cooling chamber 1 and loaded with work W in a single stage and multiple plane manner and formed with a plurality of openings 21 penetrating necessary parts of the plane vertically; rod-like restraining members 51 which are raised through individual openings 21, lift the work W from above the tray 2 and support at their tips; and rod-like restraining members 52 which descend from the above to the upper surface of the work W and press down the work W at their tips so as to, together with the restraining members 51, prevent deformation of the work W. |
