PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rice cooker improved in a heat insulation characteristic of rice.SOLUTION: A rice cooker includes: an external lid 2 provided with an external lid steam passage 12 communicating with an exhaust port 8; an inner pot 4; an inner lid 3 covering the upper surface of the inner pot 4, attached to the external lid 2, and provided with an inner lid steam passage 11 communicating with the external lid steam passage 12; a dew condensation saucer 21 attached to the lower surface of the inner lid 3; and lid heating means 16 for heating the inner lid 3 and the dew condensation saucer 21, and a control part 20 for controlling the lid heating means 16 in the external lid 2. The dew condensation saucer 21 configured of a material having a larger thermal capacity and a higher thermal resistance compared to an aluminum material is such that the outer peripheral surface thereof closely contacts the lower surface of the inner lid 3 to form a space 24 between the inner lid 3 and the saucer, a swelling part 21f projecting to an inner lid 3 side is included in a position not facing the inner lid steam passage 11, a steam hole 21e is provided on the upper surface of the swelling part 21f, dew condensation water is accumulated in the dew condensation saucer 21 by filling the dew condensation saucer 21 and the space 24 of the inner lid 3 with steam, and the dew condensation water accumulated in the dew condensation saucer 21 is heated by lid heating means 16 so as to generate moisture vapor. |
