PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine the repairability of a storage device to which a failure occurs and automatically return a RAID device from a degraded state after completion of the repair of the storage device without using a spare storage device.SOLUTION: A RAID failure self-repair device comprises: a failure statistical management function unit 51 determining a repairability of a storage device 4 from a failure occurrence history based on a degradation notification; a storage-state monitoring function unit 52 monitoring a repair situation of the storage device 4 if the failure statistical management function unit 51 determines that the storage device 4 is repairable; an abnormal-state notification function unit 53 notifying a user of a failure of the storage device 4 if the failure statistical management function unit 51 or the storage-state monitoring function unit 52 determines that the storage device 4 is unrepairable; and a RAID return processing function unit 54 returning the storage device 4 to a RAID device if the storage-state monitoring function unit 52 determines the completion of repair processing. |
