The present invention relates to a real-time user authentication method using electrocardiogram (ECG) and biometric information. The method includes the following steps: (a) registering and storing registered waveforms of ECG signals from multiple users for a specific RR section to a database; (b) preprocessing a real-time input ECG signal of an authenticated user; (c) detecting an R peak by using the preprocessed ECG signal and selecting a representative waveform in multiple RR sections for the R peak; (d) interpolating the selected representative waveform in sections equivalent to the RR sections of the registered waveforms; (E) comparing the interpolated waveform with the registered waveforms in the database; and (f) using multi-similarity (S) indicating the sum of differences between the interpolated waveform and the registered waveforms to authenticate a user. The present invention can efficiently execute a user authentication method by using the ECG signal input on an real-time basis, increase the authentication efficiency by using the simple method, and be suitable for real-time user authentication. |
