Abstract A horseshoe (10) having a generally inverted U-shaped body with a front portion (14) and side portions (16) together with a generally V-shaped connector portion (20) extending between and connecting rear ends (18) of the side portions, which horseshoe is composed of a translucent, polyurethane elastomer material and wherein a lower surface (24) of the horseshoe (10) preferably comprises a tread pattern formed by a plurality of spaced protrusion blocks (36).
