PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a temperature of a heating body from being significantly reduced in a latter half of continuous printing control.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: a heating body 101 for heating a recording sheet (sheet P) with an image formed thereon; a power supply section 200 which supplies electric power to the heating body 101; a temperature detection section (temperature sensor TS) for detecting a temperature of the heating body 101; and a control apparatus 300 which controls the power supply section 200 on the basis of the temperature detected in the temperature detection section. The control apparatus 300 is configured to execute continuous printing control and ON/OFF control for supplying/stopping power on the basis of OFF threshold and ON threshold. The control apparatus 300 controls the OFF threshold to be a first threshold having a difference of a predetermined value from the ON threshold when a first time has not passed from the start of continuous printing control, and controls the OFF threshold to be a second threshold having a difference of exceeding the predetermined value from the ON threshold and larger than the first threshold when the first time has passed from the start of continuous printing control. |
