AUTONOMOUS ANTENNA TILT COMPENSATION

Described herein are techniques related to antenna beam positioning. In one implementation, an electrical tilt of an antenna is modified based on a physical orientation of the antenna. The electrical tilt of the antenna may be modified autonomously based on the orientation of the antenna.

1. An apparatus, comprising:
an antenna configured to produce a beam and mounted for physical adjustable orientation; an antenna orientation sensor coupled to the antenna and configured to provide a signal characterizing a physical orientation of the antenna; and an electrical tilt module coupled to the antenna, the electrical tilt module configured to autonomously adjust an electrical tilt of the antenna based on the signal characterizing the physical orientation of the antenna.
