The flange has two fingers for maintaining a fuel injector (5), and a central part connecting the fingers and including a spherical bulge (21) supported on a bearing cap casing and a bore (13) situated between the fingers and the spherical bulge. The bulge is positioned in a cavity (25), and two ribs are situated on both sides of the cavity, where the bulge and the cavity have complementary shapes. An independent claim is also included for a device for fixing a fuel injector on a bearing cap casing and including a mounting flange and a connecting unit.
