摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide various compositions, devices, and methods useful for detection of an analyte by colorimetric readout.SOLUTION: Compositions and devices include polymers having pores and imprinted to capture an analyte in the pores; nanoparticles layered on the polymers; and photochromic optical switch molecules coated on the nanoparticles. Capture of the analyte in the pores of the polymer results in change in spatial relation of the nanoparticles layered on the polymer, which causes the photochromic optical switch molecules coated on the nanoparticles to undergo change in an energy state. The change in the energy state corresponds to visible change in optical spectra of the photochromic optical switch molecules.
