PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dispersant composition.SOLUTION: The invention relates to a composition containing a particulate solid, an organic or aqueous medium, and a compound with a head group derived from phosphoric acid. The invention further relates to novel compounds, and the use of the compounds as dispersants. The inventors of the present invention have discovered that it should be advantageous to provide a thermoset composition (including (i) a thermosetting resin, or (ii) a cross-linked or fused thermoset plastic) containing a compound capable of providing at least one of the following: (i) to utilize the dispersant properties of compounds containing terminal acidic groups, (ii) to provide acceptable dispersancy, (iii) to provide acceptable shear stability, (iv) to provide acceptable storage stability, and (v) to provide acceptable viscosity control (thickening performance). |
