A method of routing GPRS, 3G or 4G Data from a mobile device operating on roaming network and connecting to a destination network having an access point name, APN, and a corresponding destination network fully qualified domain name, FQDN, which includes an identification of a home network of the mobile device and the destination APN, wherein the home network has a home serving GPRS support node SGSN with a domain name server DNS resolving the destination network FQDN to the IP address of a home Gateway GPRS Support Node, GGSN providing access to the destination network, the method comprising:
providing a domain name server, DNS, in the roaming network, distinct from the home network; providing a local GGSN, the local GGSN not being the home GGSN; providing a DNS entry in the DNS server in the roaming network resolving the FQDN of the destination network to the IP address of the local GGSN; and receiving a communication from a mobile device operating in the roaming network requesting connection to the destination network identified with the destination network FQDN, and connecting the mobile device to the local GGSN indicated in the DNS entry in the local network for connection with the destination network.
