PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system operation method for making a connection by easy authentication and preventing an illegal connection.SOLUTION: A signal processing unit 12 generates, upon notification of a connection, an authentication signal using a preset waveform in c3, and a signal transmission unit 13 transmits it to a storage medium 2 in c5. A signal reception unit 21 transfers a signal to a signal processing unit 22 in c6. When the authentication signal is a signal of the preset waveform, the signal processing unit 22 transfers an authentication response signal to a signal transmission unit 23 and a medium processing unit 24 in c8, c9. The medium processing unit 24 processes the authentication response signal and places the storage medium 2 in a state waiting for activation in c11. The signal transmission unit 23 transmits the authentication response signal to a terminal 1 in c12. A signal reception unit 14 transfers the signal to the signal processing unit 12 in c13. When the authentication response signal is a signal of the preset waveform in c14, the signal processing unit 12 notifies a terminal processing unit 15 of successful authentication in c15. Subject to notification, the terminal processing unit 15 permits a connection in c16. |
