A method for recognizing a circuit switched fallback service, which is applied to a network element of a radio access network. The method comprises: after it is learnt that a user terminal is redirected to a present radio access network, receiving a non-access layer message sent by a user terminal; and parsing the non-access layer message, when it is determined that the non-access layer message carries circuit switched fallback (CSFB) service indication information, deciding that the user terminal has triggered the CSFB service. The technical solution enables a radio access network side to accurately recognize a circuit switched fallback service, thereby improving the user experience of the circuit switched fallback service. In addition, also provided is a system for recognizing a circuit switched fallback service. |
