A surface mounting apparatus (1) that mounts an electronic component on a printed board (P) is provided with: a base (11); a head unit (60) having a plurality of mounting heads (73) that are disposed by being aligned in one direction; a drive apparatus (30) that moves the head unit (60) in the planar direction on the base; and a scan unit (80) that is provided to the head unit (60). The scan unit (80) includes: a scan camera (81) that photographs the electronic component held by suction by means of the mounting head (73); a sliding apparatus (90) that slides the scan camera (81) in the one direction; and an attaching flange (95) that is provided to the sliding apparatus (90). The whole scan unit (80) including the scan camera (81) and the sliding apparatus (90) is attached to and detached from the head unit (60) by attaching/detaching the attaching flange (95) of the sliding apparatus (90) to and from a section (65) to which the attaching flange is to be attached, said section being provided to the head unit (60). |
