PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce degradation in image quality of a print image.SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus includes: a section for detecting correction area at an end part which detects a correction area at the end part along an image end expressed by a base color and an upper-layer color positioned vertically one above another, in an image end part of a print image based on print image data; and a correction processing section which corrects the correction area at the end part of the print image. In the image end part of the print image based on the print image data, a width of the base color is made smaller than that of the upper-layer color from an image end toward the center of the image or density of the base color can be reduced. When the print image is formed on a surface of a printing medium, the base color is prevented from exposing out of a lower part of the upper-layer color or the base color exposing out of a lower part of the upper-layer color can be obscured even if each position of the base color and the upper-layer color is deviated at the image end part. Accordingly, degradation in image quality of the print image can be reduced. |
