PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excellent method that promotes the growth of plants.SOLUTION: Provided are a plant growth-promoting agent comprising serotonin and iron ion, and a plant growth-promoting method comprising a step of applying the same to plants; according to the plant growth-promoting agent, it is possible to promote rooting and germination of the seed, root elongation, and growth of stems and leaves, and it is further possible to increase the number of fruits; and the plant growth-promoting agent can also be used to promote the survival of roots of transplanted trees, to prevent the damping-off after transplantation. |
