PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a load measurement apparatus of a valve stem allowing a valve stem load sensor measuring a load applied to the valve stem to be mounted to the valve stem at all times in a detachable state, and further to provide a load measurement method thereof.SOLUTION: A valve stem load sensor 10 comprises: a semi-circular arc-shaped main body portion 26; and a recess portion 27 formed at an outer surface side of a central portion of the main body portion 26. Further, a strain gauge 7 is provided in an area having a plate thickness reduced by the recess portion 27. A pair of gripping rods 28a and 28b are provided so as to extend from both end edges of the main body portion 26. Gripping members 29 gripping a valve stem 2 are provided at end portions of the pair of gripping rods 28a and 28b. The valve stem load sensor 10 can be fixed to the valve stem 2 or to guides 6 by an electromagnet 8 provided in an area facing the recess portion 27. |
