A safety apparatus for a subway platform is provided to simultaneously open and close doors connected to a main base by moving the main base to the right and to the left with one drive unit. A safety apparatus for a subway platform includes a horizontal main base(10), a vertical fixed stand(11), an opening/closing door(14), an auxiliary base(13), a plurality of guide rollers(16), a fixed bracket(17), a gas cylinder(18), a rack(19), a drive motor(20), a speed reduction unit(21) and a pinion(22). The fixed bracket is engaged with a lower portion of the main base. A positioning member is formed on one side of the fixed bracket. A cylinder body of the gas cylinder is fixed to the fixed bracket. The gas cylinder is fixed to one end of the auxiliary base. The rack is fixed to the bottom surface of the main base. The drive motor is installed on one side of the main base. The speed reduction unit is engaged with a shaft of the drive motor and reduces the rotation of the drive motor. The pinion is coupled to an output shaft of the speed reduction unit and is enmeshed with the rack.
