摘要 An apparatus and a method for correcting I(In phase)/Q(Quadrature) mismatching in a time division duplex system are provided to correct the I/Q mismatching in real time by coupling a transmission signal, estimating and correcting the I/Q mismatching without using a test signal generator. An apparatus for correcting I/Q mismatching in a time division duplex system includes a detector(331), an FFT(Fast Fourier Transform) calculator(333), an I/Q mismatching estimator(337), a baseband converting unit, and a DC offset estimator(335). The detector(331) detects a transmission signal and provides the detected signal to a receiving path. The FFT calculator(333) performs a FFT for the coupled transmission signal. The I/Q mismatching estimator(337) estimates the I/Q mismatching based on a preamble of the transmission signal which is transformed by the FFT calculator(333). The detector(331) uses one of a coupler or a divider. The baseband conversion unit classifies the coupled transmission signal into an I-channel and a Q-channel, and performs an orthogonal downlink conversion. The baseband conversion unit converts the transmission signal into a baseband signal and provides the converted signal to the FFT calculator(333) and the DC offset estimator(335). The DC offset estimator(335) estimates a DC offset based on the baseband signal.
