The purpose of the present invention is to provide a communication terminal with which it is possible to suppress the unnecessary power consumption associated with a CBS message reception process that obviates reception. A communication terminal (10) according to the present invention is provided with a communication unit (11) for receiving a paging message indicating that a CBS message is delivered. Furthermore, the communication terminal (10) is provided with a reception control unit (12) for controlling whether or not to receive the delivered CBS message by using information pertaining to the type of the CBS message, the information being set in the paging message.
