The invention relates a protective structure for brushes of sweeping machin es having a frame and at least one cup-shaped brush supported protruding from the frame, said structure comprising a flexible membrane, positioned near th e cup-shaped brush and suitable to prevent the diffusion of dust in the environment, and a supporting system for the flexible membrane, the supporting system being movably connected to the sweeping machine and comprising a movable portion which shapes the flexible membrane and elastically deforms near the frame counter to elastic means.
