<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically determine the rolling direction which a user intends according to the designation for the set of post-processing side and binding margin, and to automatically determine the rolling direction based on more appropriate designation if both post-processing side and binding margin are designated. <P>SOLUTION: The rolling direction of a sheet is determined based on the binding margin position in principle if the binding position is designated by setting on the setting screen of a printer driver (S2 and S11). The rolling direction of a sheet is determined based on the post-processing side if the post-processing side is designated but no binding margin position is designated by the setting (S3 and S5). When the rolling direction of a sheet is uniquely determined based on the post-processing side and the post-processing position and the post processing is carried out even if the binding margin position is designated by the setting (S2, S6, S9, and S10), the rolling direction of a sheet is determined based on the post-processing side (S5). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
